Most people tolerate cystitis antibiotics well, but like all medications, side effects can occasionally occur. The most commonly reported ones include diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, reduced appetite, and headaches. You might also notice your urine turning a dark yellow or brown colour— this is nothing to worry about and will return to normal once the medication is finished.
Less common side effects are possible, so it's important to read the patient information leaflet that comes with your medication for a full list. If you’re concerned about any potential side effects related to this medication, stop taking it and speak to your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

You’ll need to complete a short medical questionnaire which will be reviewed by one of our GPs. If clinically appropriate, your prescription will be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy.
